HAHAHA.  Last night’s episode of the Colbert Report again rocked the house.  He got to the bottom of the “Obama is a Socialist” idiocy, with the actual candidate from the Socialist Party as guest to explain the situation, and had guest Sherman Alexie on the show, who is a great Native American writer, and I think gave Steven a run for his comedy money.

I bought the Communist Manifesto a couple of months ago, and I have yet to read all of it.  What I did read though was pretty good/interesting, and I think it’s sad, just for the sake of cultural enrichment, and Marxist Communism is SO often confused with Soviet Communism.  It has a lot of good elements in its philosophy, I think (equality, everyone having what they need, caring for others’ well being), and it’s sad that we value ourselves and we are too far up our capitalist high-horse to really even consider learning about it.
