In 1969, when the funding for PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting was running out of support in the government, Mr. Fred Rogers himself spoke at a Senate hearing, saving his show and education television for good. Fantastic speech and gracious words from a wonderful man who did so many years of good.
