This was once a blog where I shared many, many things, most of which were awesome. Somewhere around fall 2009, I got a big-kid media job and no longer can keep up with this old thing. There's some good stuff hanging around here though. You should check it out.

HOW TO: Make a Valentine from Onion Skins

Over on CraftStylish, there is a great How to on making this really beautiful box/notebook using onion skins.  This method would be cool to create paper or covers for almost anything, not necessarily Valentines.  Using only the peels and some tac paper, this is really a very pretty craft idea.  Cheers!

FallingWater Amimated Short

Fallingwater from Cristóbal Vila on Vimeo. Ok, I’m not, in the general sense, a huge fan of 3D animation or videos featuring a lot of it, but this one is definately note worthy. I took at 3D animation class in college and had to do a short animated commercial, like 30sc long. It took me...

Movie Titles by Saul Bass

In the grand, accidental tradition of postings, here’s another one about Movie Title Sequences that is one of the best.  Saul Bass created the classy titles for some of America’s greatest films–West Side Story, Anatomy of a Murder, Vertigo, Pyscho, Goodfellas–and the people over at Not Coming to a Theatre Near You has put them...

Etsy Tuesday: Bearded Guy Buttons

Today is Etsy Tuesday, and last weekend, Astrid&Inez lost a dear old friend from long ago who was a great guy, musician, friend,  and beard enthusiast.  So naturally, I think it’s only right to bring up these really cool Bearded Guy Buttons from Ashley G over on Etsy. Check ‘em out. Keep your loved ones...

Bag of Money: Three Potato Four

This made me laugh aloud, or at least chortle a little.  Iconic to every silent film and the “Three Amigos,” Three Potato Four has this great canvas bag for sale over at their shop.  Though I do not condone robbery or theft in any capacity, I do have to say it would be really funny...

Neue Haas Grotesk

Neue Haas Grotesk would later become Helvetica and would continue to rock my world and inspire design all over the world. Over on Flickr, there’s a great collection of photos showing the sample book of the font from its early years…oh boy, what a find! Cheers!

The Pedestrian Project

Playing on our views of people and icons, the Pedestrian Project brings together performers dressed as the iconic symbol of people to the streets.  Fantastic!

Awesome Sculptural Pieces by THomas Keeley

Full of intricate play on our visual scope and humor, Thomas Keeley has some great artistic style.   With pieces including Books that Hug and a group of tiny business men on the head of a toothbrush, wonderful things to look at and imagine. Found via SwissMiss

I don’t care who you are…

This is hilarious. Thank you, Doogie Howser. I really needed this.

Fifty People, One Question: London

Fifty People, One Question: London from Crush + Lovely on Vimeo. This is one of the most loveliest things I have ever seen. Watch and be changed.

Illustration Thursday: Early Griffin

Based in the UK, Early Griffin is a collective that pulls together artists to produce sets of hand-pulled prints in limited quantities, and can I just say they know how to pick ‘em?  Great style and prints from many illustrators and printers.  And they donate 10% of the goods from each series to a charity...

Sweet Gifs

Ok, so I stumbled upon something awesome today while searching for illustration that stirred the tiny 12 year old from 1997 inside of my heart. Sweet GIFs is a magical place where the spirit of the Hamster Dance lives on. Created by the guys behind Rainbow Dropshadow, these hypnotic gifs, titled like its ’99, are...
