280 Slides is what I hope web interface and usability will evolve to.  Bringing PowerPoint to the web, 280 Slides allows presentation building, sharing, downloading, and importing solely online, without software or a fee.

I work in education, and a problem we face all the time is portability of class work and using PowerPoint in places where its not available, and this solves both.

This is a great tool: it looks awesome; it runs just like you think it should.  It makes sharing and downloading presentations very easy with the options of saving it as a PDF, .pptx, ppt.  It also allows for importing of pre-made presentations.

The interface is great and set up to build online, and the Media Browser looks and functions fantastically.  It allows the user to search for images or movies in both Google and Flickr right in the window, and also to upload or URL link to the media.  Great idea!

The font list is pretty standard, but doesn’t pull from your system fonts, which is great, so user-to-user presentations are not at a loss.  It also imports slides right from presentations on your machine, keeping all pictures, fonts, photos, and movies.

And (maybe) best of all, you can present your work within the interface, without downloading anything first.  Just hit “present” and bring up your browser in full screen.  You can also “share” your presentation, with the options of e-mailing or publishing or generating code to embed your presentation on the web.  Great idea!

Fantastic tool!
