This is such a fun idea : Threadcakes is an online contest for bakers and decorators challenged to recreate a Threadless tee in the medium of cake. Some are awesome and some could use some work, but overall, the gallery of cake submissions features just a ton of great work. Sweet!
These totes are awesome! Alphabet Bags is the home to a ton of really cool, well, totes featuring the letters of the alphabet in this really sweet, classic Diodoni. They are based out of the UK, and are made by the same people who were originally responsible for the Keep Calm poster craze (Well, the Brits in the 40s started it, really, but they revived/posted it online for things to get crazy).
They ship internationally for pretty cheap post charges. Cheers!
Maija Louekari is a Finnish designer that has a great collection of both illustration and textile design in her portfolio.

Combining lovely colors, line illustration, and bold shapes, her work is amazing. She also has a whole set of textile work for sale over at Marimekko (no online store), a “leading Finnish textile and clothing design company that was established in 1951.”

You can see more over at Marimekko or check out her Portfolio, which is great. You can also see a lovely collection of her work featured at GrainEdit, one of my favorite design sites.
Cheers!
This super cute cosmetic bag made by Majka Tree over on Etsy is made with cotton muslin and tiny felt applique. It is full lined, and would be large enough to store all of your various make-up tools, etc. The shop also features a bunch of other various bags and zippy bags, of lots of different styles and patterns. Very Lovely!
So things have been extra-super-to the Xtreme crazy recently at work and I’ve been dealing with some major fatigue-cold-can’t really-think-clearly sickness, thus the desert of non-posts that has become this blog. And for this, I apologize. But please, take this token of briefly funny mustache humor as a token of my gratitude of your readership.
It’s not that I haven’t wanted to blog, or even bookmarked things to intentionally blog about later, I’ve just been swamped. And last night, I was supposed to teach a workshop about web design, but some people in our tech support failed to do their jobs, so I couldn’t do mine and wasted a bunch of hours doing nothing. A+ in sucking it up, computer support! Way to not go!
But tomorrow is Friday and we can all be thankful for that. So let’s just start off on Monday afresh or anew or awhatever.
Cheers!
This small purse over on Etsy is the cutest, and is made by and sold in a great shop called Portemone, with even more awesome things for sale. Handmade, with hand-screened birch and bird, this would be a super awesome gift.
Check out the rest of the store. They are selling a ton of cute handmade purses. Cheers!
Since my mom first told me that ginkgo leaves have been unchanged since dinosaur times, I have loved this crazy things. This tote is super cute, and can be found over at fredflare.com. Check it out!
This is awesome! Andy Eats Only Candy over on Etsy is selling these great pins with two ‘cats’ with vengence in their heart for people who do not recycle.
The shop also features a lot of other cool stuff, including other recycling related wares, and a cute hedgehog tote.
Classic!
This week, Etsy Tuesday is all about this awesome clutch by Emma Pardos. In blue and salemon color, it features a fold over design with a zippered compartment inside. It’s made from canvas and cotton. Super sweet and awesome! Cheers!
